Summary
Personal Assistant for Malcolm
Malcolm is a 53-year-old man with high functioning autism and a history of hoarding who is looking for a personal assistant. As Malcolm’s PA, you will help him with household organisation and time management with a view to aiding in the development of life skills and to achieve independent living. This will ultimately help him to stay on top of things such as paperwork, taking stock of items in the house, and weekly planning.
Based in Scotstounhill (G14), this is a part-time role of 4 hours per week which will be worked during 2 days of the week, with the possibility of additional hours for the right person. The hourly rate for this role will be £13.60 gross. This role would be best suited for someone with good organisational skills and punctuality.
Other specific skills and qualities include being an open-minded and relaxed person, as well as having a collaborative approach to solving problems. Ideally, you would share Malcolm’s concerns for the environment and promote reusing and recycling items where appropriate. An awareness of the autism spectrum disorder and OCD would also be very helpful in this role.
