Summary

LinkLiving is looking for a Relief Senior Practitioner to join their Falkirk Core and Cluster Service. This is a relief position with a salary of £14.63 per hour. Service hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

About the Role
As a senior practitioner, you'll work with care-experienced young people aged 16-21, including those arriving through the National Transfer Scheme. The goal is to help them develop the skills needed for independent living and access education and employment opportunities.

You'll take a trauma-informed approach to support young people within a supported housing project that includes ten independent tenancies and a central hub. This involves handling complex key-working issues, coordinating support, and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues. You'll also conduct new service user assessments and regular reviews. Your role is to build trusting relationships, offer practical and emotional support, and advocate for the young people you work with to ensure their rights are upheld.

About You
You'll need extensive experience working with care-experienced young people, as well as a strong understanding of social care, housing issues, and welfare benefits. A background in multi-agency collaboration and housing support systems is essential.

You should have a general standard of secondary education, including passes in English and Maths, and hold an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6. You must be willing to work towards an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 7 and a suitable supervisory or management qualification.

We're looking for a compassionate, non-judgmental individual with strong relationship-building skills and a proactive, reflective approach to work. Proficiency in using technology for record-keeping and a dedication to promoting diversity are also important.

What We Offer
LinkLiving values its employees and offers a competitive benefits package, including:

35 days of annual leave (pro rata)

Opportunity to buy and sell holiday

Access to paid SVQ qualifications and a wide range of learning and development opportunities

Enhanced company sick pay and family-friendly policies

A defined contribution pension scheme with generous employer contributions

Life assurance and a healthcare cash plan

An employee assistance program for health, mental, and financial wellbeing

A cycle to work scheme and much more!

You'll be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within three months of starting and will need to undergo a PVG Scheme registration.

The closing date for applications is 23:59 on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Interviews will be held at Link Academy in Falkirk on a date to be confirmed.
