Planning and Coordination: Develop efficient delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Coordinate with logistics teams to align international arrivals with local distribution needs.







Overview: We are looking for a Transport Manager (£42k p/a) & Transport Office clerk (£30k p/a) from October 01. The team of 2 would rotate between shifts of 6am – 15pm & 8am – 17pm. We believe it is vital that they are local candidates to remove risk & avoid disruption. The aim would be to hire on a temp basis for 13 weeks with Extraman & bring on board permanently if we are happy.

Inventory Management: Oversee incoming goods at the local hub & ensure merchandise is properly organized for easy access & loading for the last-mile process.

Staff Management: Supervise & train delivery personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. This includes managing drivers, & any other personnel involved in the last-mile delivery process.

Fleet Management: Maintain the delivery fleet, ensuring vehicles are properly serviced, insured, and compliant with local regulations. Make decisions on vehicle procurement or leasing as needed.

Documentation & Booking Processes: Safely manage all in & outbound documentation while supporting the customer in securing booking slots within he expected delivery window.

Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding deliveries. Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded by addressing any issues that arise during the delivery process.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to last-mile delivery, such as delivery times, costs, & customer satisfaction. Use data to identify areas for improvement.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all deliveries comply with local regulations & safety standards. Implement safety protocols to protect staff and products during the delivery process.

Technology Utilization: Leverage technology solutions such as GPS tracking, route optimization software, and delivery management systems to enhance efficiency and visibility in the last-mile delivery process.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends a& best practices to continuously enhance the last-mile delivery strategy, aiming for efficiency & reduced costs while improving customer satisfaction.
