Summary

Calderdale College is looking to recruit a highly motivated person with the skills, knowledge and experience to champion and support our 19+ students by ensuring that all barriers to progression routes through college are removed. The Adult Progression and Support Officer will join our enthusiastic team in Adult and General Education.

Initially the successful candidate will work with Adult ESOL learners to support them with careers guidance and any academic support they may need to progress successfully within the college provision but we envisage that the role will develop to engage with various other cohorts of our adult learners. The ideal candidate will combine being target focused, driven and self-directing with a nurturing side, which will embrace the College ethos that every student will be empowered by education, to achieve their full potential.

Calderdale College is committed to the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

When we shortlist potential candidates, we will inform those who have been shortlisted that online search maybe conducted as part of the due diligence checks. The college will ensure to communicate the lawful basis on which this personal information will be collected.
