Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a keen interest in butchery. This role involves assisting in the preparation of high-quality meat products while adhering to strict food safety standards. The Butchery Assistant will work closely with experienced butchers to learn the trade and contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats according to specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support the butchers in processing, packaging, and labelling meat products.
Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing meat deliveries.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
Requirements:
Previous experience in food production is preferred.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of butchery practices is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning and development.
