Summary

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Warwick

Secondary School | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm
£500 – £570 per week

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons


  • Work with students 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning


  • Assist with planning, resources, and general classroom management


  • Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff


  • Build positive relationships with students to support both academic and personal development


  • Gain first-hand experience in a secondary school setting ahead of a PGCE or teacher training route


    What We’re Looking For

    To be successful in this role, you should have:

    • A 2:1 degree (or higher) in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Psychology, or a related subject


    • A strong academic background, including A-levels and GCSEs


    • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills


    • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting young people in a classroom setting


    • Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is beneficial but not essential
