The Role
We are recruiting for 2x Deputy Team Managers on a permanent basis which have become available within Independent Living Service. 1 x full time (37 hours weekly) and 1 x part time (22.2hours/3 days weekly)
The Independent Living Service (ILS), which incorporates the Discharge to Assess at Home Team, aims to promote the independence of disabled/sensory impaired residents of Bolton, by offering assessments with a view to providing advice, rehabilitation, equipment and/or adaptations and long-term support. The Independent Living Service (ILS) plays a vital role in supporting residents to maintain or regain their independence. This is achieved through a range of interventions, including rehabilitation, equipment provision, home adaptations, telecare, and expert advice. The DTAH model enables timely hospital discharges by delivering rehabilitation and care assessments in individuals’ homes. This approach supports recovery, reduces hospital stays, and helps prevent readmissions.
The Deputy Team Manager will assist and support management within the services to lead and manage the teams, ensuring the work is allocated effectively and completed efficiently. Due to the high demands and the fast pace of the service, support is required to ensure the ongoing timely interactions/monitoring and flow through the service to minimise the impact on other areas such as the hospital and Home Support Reablement. The Deputy Team Manager is an important and integral part of the Team ensuring productivity whilst supporting staff and being a key contact for support and guidance.
The Deputy Team Manager will be required to input and take part in the wider Integration agenda and ensure that the service and staff are represented and advocate on their behalf. They will also be required to support staff within the Independent Living Service (ILS) via supervisions and consultation when required.
