We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Recruitment Assistant to join our People Team here at Portland Charity. If you thrive in a varied and fast paced environment, and you feel passionate about providing an outstanding level of service for our new employees joining the organisation, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing
The successful candidate will join our People Team here at Portland College (Main Campus). They will work closely with the Recruitment & Compliance Advisor to:
• Complete pre-employment checks, documentation and onboarding for our new employees in a timely manner whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Be a first point of contact for new employees joining Portland Charity.
• Play a crucial role in creating and managing recruitment campaigns across multiple advertising platforms.
• Support the team to ensure compliance in Right to Work documentation and DBS checking.
• Organise new starter inductions, including delivery of our introduction session on day one.
• Provide general support to the Recruitment and Compliance Advisor as well as the wider People team, in delivering a high level of service to our staff here at Portland Charity.
About you
We’d love to hear from you if:
• You have previous experience working in an administrative role, preferably within a recruitment and/or HR setting.
• You are passionate about high standards of quality and understand the importance of accuracy when completing key documentation and carrying out compliance checks.
• You have a friendly and professional approach with a genuine passion for helping people and providing a helpful and efficient service for our new and existing staff.
• You have some knowledge of Safer Recruitment.
We will be required to carry out a Basic DBS check for this role which does not involve regulated activity with our learners and/or citizens.

37.5 hours, Monday – Friday, covering core hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm.
