Summary

Finance Assistant

Hybrid, Blackbushe (2 days per week in the office)

Up to £27,000 per annum

40 hours per week Monday – Friday (9am to 6pm)

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Shared Services team here at BCA. This role is responsible for financial control in the Auction Accounts team and assisting with cross functional working in the department.

This is a good opportunity for someone who is looking to build their finance skills and grow within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities


Manual allocation of cash receipts (incl. DD’s) onto ACS, Nav and CALMS finance systems
Create files for processing by RPA robot for bulk receipts
Investigate and resolve issue with unallocated receipts – including contras
Maintain unallocated receipt reports
Request for return of duplicated and overpaid amounts
Post cash journal for missing entries
Manually post invoices or credit notes to CALMS
Help monitor and manage team email mailbox queries
Answer telephone calls and deal with the customer queries
Complete bank reconciliation for BCAOS
Daily reconciliation of Partner Finance journals posted
Identify and flag the requirements for invoicing and credits
Other ad-hoc duties as required


Key Skills


Finance Experience preferred, ideally working towards a professional qualification or with the ambition to do so.
Logical approach to problem solving through a methodical and organised manner
Numeric abilities, including accuracy of data input and reconciliation skills
Familiarity with all areas of accounting including sales ledger, bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, nominal ledger and reporting
Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload and use own initiative
Ability to meet deadlines
MS Office skills – including data Manipulation though MS Excel that includes, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and pivot tables
Experience of Navision Accounting software would be an advantage
