The Outreach Tuition service supports children who are temporarily unable to attend full-time school due to illness, special circumstances, or the unavailability of a suitable school place. Their goal is to help students continue their education, prevent underachievement, and prepare them for a successful return to full-time school.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will deliver short-term, targeted tuition in core subjects, primarily Maths and English, with opportunities to expand into Science, Life Skills, and mentoring. Tuition can take place in-person at school, community centers, libraries, or online, with regular welfare visits arranged for online learners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and personalised tuition to Key Stage 2-4 students.
- Support students academically and behaviourally to help them transition successfully back to full-time education.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to Outreach coordinators.
- Work closely with schools, caseworkers, parents, and the Outreach team.
- Conduct tuition in line with safeguarding and welfare requirements.

Requirements:
- Experience teaching or tutoring in core subjects (Maths and English).
- Ability to support students with diverse needs, including SEND and medical conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible approach to teaching locations, including schools, community centers, libraries, or online.
- DBS check and safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain).

Why join the team?
- Make a real difference in the lives of students facing challenges accessing education.
- Flexible working environments, including the opportunity to deliver tuition online.
- Be part of a growing service with a supportive and collaborative team.
