The Systems Control Assistant will work as part of a team responsible for supporting, administering, controlling and developing the service unit business systems functions, including administration of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, Service Accounts, Corporate Debt, and Income Management.


The post requires considerable liaison and communication with all service unit teams, other council services, members of the public and the business community over the telephone, face to face, in writing as well as electronic communications.


The Systems Control Assistant will provide support on system changes, upgrades and the efficient operational running of systems and processes to ensure business continuity and the security and integrity of system data and will also have responsibility for the administration of the PECOS ordering and invoicing system for the service unit.


The Systems Control Assistant reporting to a Systems Development Senior Section Leader will be expected to work on an unsupervised basis based on their knowledge and experience and act accordingly.
