Summary
About you
This is an opportunity for a pro-active PBS & Physical Intervention Trainer to join an evolving care company and to be part of our team.
You will need:
NVQ Level 5 qualification in PBS or equivalent/above (or willing to complete)
Professional experience working with children and/or adults with Autism and learning disabilities and behaviors of concern. 1 year of working in a PBS role or equivalent.
In- depth knowledge of support needs of people with Autism, learning disabilities and mental health disorders. Sound understanding of PBS, Active Support, Mental Capacity and how this is used to inform practice.
Responsible for delivering face to face RRN accredited training programmes outlined by NAPPI UK to support maintaining our organisational training compliance.
Equipping teams with the skills and knowledge to manage behavior safely, respectfully, and within legal and organisational guidelines.
The trainer will promote the use of proactive strategies to minimise the use of restrictive practices and ensure the safety and well-being of staff and people we support.
There will be an expected delivery of 3-4 days’ worth of training per week with a day to complete administrative tasks.
