Summary


Are you a passionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a difference to the lives of children?We are seeking a Specialist Nurse for Safeguarding Children, to join our team at Newham University Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, and work in partnership with external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children. You will play a key role in supporting staff to implement policies and procedures to safeguard children and providing training in Newham.

As Specialist Nurse for Safeguarding Children, you will have the chance to make a difference in the lives of children who may be experiencing abuse or neglect. Your expertise and dedication will help to ensure that these children receive the best possible care and support, while also working to prevent future instances of harm.

Key responsibilities:
• Support staff with the implementation of policies and procedures to safeguard children within the hospital and community setting.
• Provide training and support to staff on child protection issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for at-risk children.
• Work closely with external agencies and authorities to safeguard vulnerable children.
