Waking Night Support Worker
1 or 2 nights per week | Competitive pay: £18 per hour | Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9pm-7.30am
Job Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced Support Worker for our 19-year-old client based in Leeds. Our client is non-verbal but has a vibrant personality that truly shines through. He is wheelchair-bound and is fed via gastrostomy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with the changing of catheter, feeding, and administering medication.
· Hoisting him in and out of bed.
· Supporting with seizures through the night
The role involves working on a 2:1 basis due to frequent seizures and moving/handling requirements. You will be joining a well-established team of carers providing high-quality care to this individual.
Essential Requirements:
· Experience as a Support Worker or similar role.
· Ability to work compassionately and with attention to the client’s needs.
· Knowledge and experience of moving and handling techniques and procedures (training will be provided if needed).
