Summary

Your role as a Catering Assistant:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Assistant to join our team at our Sutton Bonington Campus near Loughborough. Working either within our catering units or restaurant, you will prepare and serve a wide range of food and beverages, providing excellent customer service at all times.

You will be naturally attentive to customers, acknowledging them with a smile, answering queries, and suggesting products and services where appropriate. As a key part of our team, you will play a crucial part in our business, helping to create an easy, enjoyable customer experience by delivering superior service and excellent standards at all times.

Candidates should have experience working in a similar fast-paced food service environment and will have excellent customer service skills. Further details regarding the duties and experience required for these posts can be found on the attached job role profile.

Hours of work:

This is a fixed-term position which will attract 20% uplift allowance pay for any hours worked at the weekend please see the details of each position below:

Hours of work are 36.25 per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged to include working regular weekends, working on a rotation basis between the hours of 8.00am and 9.00pm). Flexibility to work a range of shifts will be required.

Please note - this post will be offered as a fixed term with Projected End Date of this position to be on 31-Jul-2026.

The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to attend statutory training courses and any refresher training required by the department. There are planned training courses throughout the year and different options to attend either during a typical week, Monday to Friday or on a set weekend dates within the year.
