Are you passionate about empowering and helping vulnerable women and children? Fortalice is aiming to recruit a compassionate DA Recovery Worker based in our Refuge. In this rewarding role, you will help women and families affected by domestic abuse rebuild their lives. The ideal candidate will have experience with vulnerable people, a non-judgmental approach, and a commitment to fostering independence and resilience. If this role interests you and you genuinely care about victims of domestic abuse, we can offer full training.

Purpose of the role:
The role is based at Lewis House, a dedicated Refuge with 22 self-contained flats and outstanding OFSTED rated Children’s Nursery. Staffed 24 hours by our team of Family Support Workers, the facility includes offices, a meeting room and communal areas for group activities. Our focus is on ensuring seamless transitions for victims/survivors, providing essential support during their stay, and facilitating independent resettlement into the community or suitable alternative accommodation.

Key skills:
You will be passionate about empowering vulnerable women and children, with a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and domestic abuse. Your strong communication skills and non-judgmental approach will help you build supportive relationships and foster independence. With experience in conducting assessments and working both independently and as part of a team, you will demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development. Full training will be provided to equip you with the skills needed for this fulfilling role.
