An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior clinical fellow in Diagnostic Gynaecology Oncology, Minimally Access and Robotic Surgery at the Bedford site of the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for a 1-year fixed term. The post will include working closely with the Gynaecology oncology team supporting the clinics, theatre sessions, inpatient reviews, triaging new referrals, preparing and participating in the gynaecology oncology MDT and working with operational managers in managing the cancer PTL. There can be a commitment to deal with emergency gynaecology and training more junior trainees.
There will also be an opportunity to work with the Endometriosis and Complex benign surgical team to further enhance advance skills in managing both Robotic/Laparoscopic and open surgery.
There is currently no obstetrics or on-call component, but this is subject to change as the requirements in the department changes.

As this is a new post the job duties will be designed byMr Gyimadu and Mr Mahran (Clinical Director, Endometriosis and Robotic Surgeon) and will depend on the individual’s skill set and service requirements.
