Summary
At SwiftGo Logistics UK Limited, we are committed to delivering reliable and efficient logistics solutions across the UK. We’re now looking for a Fleet Operations Manager to lead our transport operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, driver hours, tachograph rules, and transport legislation.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, servicing, MOTs, and defect reporting.
• Plan and coordinate daily delivery and collection routes to optimise fleet utilisation.
• Lead and support drivers – recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate transport records (vehicle files, driver logs, maintenance schedules, incident reports).
• Manage budgets including fuel, vehicle hire, maintenance, and overtime.
• Drive improvements in routing, cost control, and customer delivery experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, operations) to align transport operations.
• Manage relationships with courier partners and external suppliers.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in the relevant field.
• Proven experience in transport/logistics management with fleet and driver compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and fleet operations.
• Experience in route planning and transport/telematics systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage third-party logistics providers and enforce SLAs.
