Summary
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Engagement Mentor - Engineering & Motor Vehicle (Maternity Cover) to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to support learners in overcoming barriers to their education, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and positive engagement in college life.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As an Engagement Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting our learners to achieve their potential by:
Building positive and supportive relationships with learners, prioritising safeguarding and wellbeing.
Promoting the 4As model: Attendance, Attitude, Aspirations, and Achievement.
Supporting behaviour management and de-escalating challenges in a nurturing and constructive way.
Working collaboratively with the Gateway, Safeguarding, and Pastoral teams to ensure consistency and positive outcomes.
Designing and delivering 1:1 and group interventions, workshops, and activities to promote resilience, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
Enhancing student experience by supporting extracurricular opportunities and monitoring impact on behaviour and attendance.
