The role:
We are seeking an experienced Receptionist, with strong customer service experience, to provide a high level of front-line customer service to all visitors and callers ensuring that all standards for quality, accuracy and responsiveness are met.
Key responsibilities:
Provide all customers and visitors with a prompt and courteous greeting, dealing with all enquiries efficiently, accurately and in a friendly manner
Provide advice and information as appropriate to all visitors to the business
Follow procedures for visitors, ensuring signing-in and issuing badges comply with Fire Regulations
Deal calmly with situations which have the potential to cause embarrassment or a security risk
Answer all telephone calls within agreed service standards, dealing helpfully with general enquiries and connecting to relevant staff ensuring all calls are announced before connection
Open incoming post securely and distribute to relevant departments and prepare outgoing mail for collection. Liaise with couriers over incoming and outgoing packages
Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies
What the client is looking for:
GCSE qualifications or equivalent through relevant training or experience
Previous customer service experience and commitment to delivering an customer service
Proficient IT skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Listening, questioning and clarifying skills
Ability to deal with conflict
Adopts a patient and empathetic attitude
Excellent telephone manner
