Summary
- My client is a well-established business in Ayrshire delivering high-quality engineering solutions to a wide industry base. With continued growth, they're looking to add to their Estimating team.
- Prior experience in estimating or proposals is not required, as training will be provided.
- What matters most is your technical knowledge of pipe work and / or fabrication projects, combined with good communication and organisation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the operations team to prepare accurate proposals, quotations and costings for client projects
- Reviewing client specifications and drawings to ensure scope is fully understood
- Liaising with engineers, welders and project staff to gather project requirements
- Supporting tender submissions and project documentation
- Developing estimating skills with support and mentoring
- Background in pipefitting, site welding or fabrication
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Willingness to learn the "paperwork side" of projects
- Good communicator who likes solving problems
- Full training and development into estimating and proposals work
