Orchard Hill College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, April 2025) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities. We have nine vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey where committed, specialist teams deliver a range of programmes to meet the needs of over 500 students.
Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties and specific medical needs. All students are individual, and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community.
As an admin assistant within the Integrated services team, you will work closely with the IS and assessments team, teaching teams, finance and procurement teams and other external teams. As an admin assistant you will be supporting the College’s aims and objectives by providing the most effective and efficient service to OHC. The individual will need to provide a comprehensive, efficient and confidential administrative service to the College, supporting the development of pupils
Key responsibilities
General clerical duties for the IS team and supporting the clinical leads to improve efficiency.
Schedule and minute meetings, manage calendars and organise IS events
Support The IS leads in liaising with recruitment companies, organising induction and updating induction packs for new staff
To support the Assessments team with setting up assessments, uploading documents and obtaining destination data
Supporting internal teams with ad hoc administrative tasks
Preparing reports, memos and other correspondence
To monitor stationery and therapy stock levels at the end of each half term so that IS resources are readily available, completing order request forms ready for budget holder authorisation
