Summary

We are seeking a friendly, proactive and highly organised individual to join our dedicated administrative team. This dual-role position involves providing direct support to the Headmaster while also contributing to the wider administrative functions of the school. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff across departments to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily operations.RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS • Provide confidential administrative support to the Headmaster, ensuring that correspondence, enquiries or problems are dealt with in an appropriate manner• Manage the diary for the Headmaster ensuring that all arrangements for visitors and guests are professional and welcoming• Provide hospitality for all of the Headmasters’ visitors • Deal with all post, emails and correspondence for the Headmaster• Make reservations and organise travel arrangements • Prepare and circulate agendas for Senior Leadership Team meetings and other academic meetings as appropriate• Minute meetings as required • Assist Headmaster with ad hoc projects, presentations and report writing (information gathering, collating reports, servicing meetings).• Understand the Headmaster’s workload and work with him in prioritising his workload to meet the conflictingand demanding needs of all key stakeholders and external agencies• Ensure that the Headmaster has all details/paperwork necessary prior to appointments• Assist in the organisation, marketing and coordination of major school events such as Open Days, Sports Day, Prize Giving Day, etc• Support the Head with functions and events that take place outside of normal school hours – e.g. information meetings, performances, parents’ evenings and welcome events• To take the lead and work closely with key staff members to ensure the school diary is managed effectively and professionally, avoiding scheduling clashes and ensuring all staff are informed of events, activities and visits well in advance• Manage confidential files and archive/file admin and pupil documentation• Organisation of end of term staff socials • Recording of staff sickness records • Undertake other responsibilities and tasks as reasonably requested by the Headmaster including assisting the Bursary where necessary
