Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at the Royal London Hospital Department of General Surgery. The appointee will be attached to Colorectal, Vascular or Hepatobiliary surgical subspecialty firms and will participate in the on-call rota for General surgery and major trauma. The post is due to start as soon as possible.
The post predominantly provides practical emergency general surgery experience, but the postholder will also have duties with a subspecialty unit, including ward rounds, outpatient clinic and elective operating list attendance.
This position will suit doctors with full GMC registration with License to Practice, and relevant basic experience, interested in gaining further surgical experience before applying for entry to specialist training.
An exciting opportunity exists to work at the Royal London Hospital with full participation in the general surgery on-call rota.
The General Surgery Service Consultants have a range of interests including Upper Gastrointestinal, HPB, Colorectal, Academic, Military, Trauma and Vascular Surgery.
Providing tertiary care as part of the subspecialty units, requires individuals to be well organized, and be able to interface with multiple specialties.
There is opportunity to pursue individual training requirements including theatre sessions, audit, research, or outpatient sessions depending on personal development plans.
This position will suit doctors interested in gaining further surgical experience, before applying for higher posts.
This is a non-Deanery post and requires full GMC registration with licence to practice
