Due to continued exceptional company growth and full order book, my client is currently having a recruitment surge. With expansion in mind, they are looking for someone to lead their development, of a highways capability.
Based at their Basingstoke regional office, covering sites in and around Hampshire and the South of England, this is an unrivalled opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join one of the leading SME contractors in the Southeast of England. My client woulld also look at an experinced Site Agent looking to progress.
Responsibilities:
- To manage infrastructure projects from tender and award through to completion of the works and financial settlement.
- Help develop and grow the highways capability of the company
- Help develop and grow the project management capability of the company
- Support in the bidding and securing of new projects and frameworks
- Lead the development of productivity norms to win and deliver new projects
- Demonstrate ability to deliver competently within agreed budget and timeframes
- Manage the preparation of Health and Safety Plans, Quality Plans and Method Statements.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, method statements, industry standards and legislation and identify and enable the resolution of conflict.
- Control of weekly progress against program and supporting budget.
- Full interface with external clients
Personal Profile:
- Ability to develop friendly and professional customer focused relations with others
- Good management skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance
- Self-driven and results-oriented individual with a positive outlook
- Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Be fully conversant with Microsoft packages and have the ability to utilise other project related software
- Have excellent communication and good report writing skills
- Ability to digest information and instructions from clients
- Team leader and team player
- High standard of numeracy with high oral and written communication skills
- Flexible and enthusiastic in approach
- Developing and motivating self and others
- Building excellent customer and client relationships
- Willing to travel throughout Southern England
