HR Advisor - Springcare Head Office, Whitchurch with travel to our care homes across the Group
Full-time, Permanent – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm)
At Springcare, we are proud to be a family-run care home group where our people truly matter. Our residents and their families are at the heart of what we do, and we know this is only possible because of our amazing teams.
We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor to join our friendly HR and Operations team at our Head Office in Whitchurch.
The role:
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, providing high-quality advice across the full range of HR matters. Your role will include:
Supporting managers with employee relations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management.
Giving clear guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
Leading or supporting investigations, ensuring fairness and compliance with legislation.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction across the Group.
Helping to deliver HR projects including employee engagement, retention and organisational change.
Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and right-to-work requirements.
Contributing to the ongoing development of HR policies and procedures.
Producing reports and data to support decision-making.
Working closely with the HR Manager, fellow HR Advisor and the wider Operations team to ensure people practices help us achieve our goals.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and passionate about people. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
CIPD Level 5 – essential.
Proven generalist HR experience, with strong knowledge of UK employment law.
A track record of independently managing employee relations cases.
Experience of supporting or leading investigations and producing clear, detailed reports.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A discreet and professional approach to handling sensitive information.
A flexible, resilient and adaptable attitude.
A current driving licence (as travel to our homes is required).
Experience in the care sector, sponsorship/right-to-work processes, or additional qualifications (such as coaching or Mental Health First Aid) would be an advantage but are not essential.
What we can offer you:
A supportive and welcoming team environment.
Annual leave entitlement 31 days per annum
Access to our auto enrolment pension subject to qualifying criteria
Access to Blue Light Card – where you can make savings across hundreds of national retailers.
Fully funded training for nationally recognised qualifications and opportunities for career development.
Access to counselling and wellbeing support.
Family friendly policies.
Smooth robust recruitment process through our portal
At Springcare, we believe in working together with kindness, respect and integrity. If you are looking for your next HR opportunity in a role where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are interested in joining Springcare, we would love to hear from you!
Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard DBS and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
Springcare are committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding, and protecting those we care for and serve. We make sure all of our staff are vetted, selected, trained and supervised fairly and to a high standard so that they can provide safe, effective and compassionate care.
