Deputy Manager – Nursing Home
Near Sevenoaks, Kent
Starting Salary: £54,000 per annum
Full-Time – 40 hours per week (Mixture of supernumerary and floor-based shifts, including 1 weekend in 3)
Are you a passionate and experienced nurse looking to take the next step in your career? I am seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a well-established, high-quality nursing home located near Sevenoaks in Kent.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical and person-centred care are delivered consistently. You will have a visible presence across the home, with a balanced mix of supernumerary hours and on-the-floor clinical leadership. Your role will include supporting the management team, mentoring staff, contributing to audits and inspections, and leading by example in delivering outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day running of the home alongside the Home Manager
Lead and supervise the care team, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and company policies
Deliver and oversee safe, effective, and personalised nursing care
Assist with clinical audits, care planning, risk assessments, and staff training
Participate in a shared rota, working one weekend in every three
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN (essential)
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead in a nursing home setting (essential)
Strong clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of current best practices
Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and standards of care
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
