Graduate Academic Mentor

Sheffield Secondary School – Up to £550 per week – Full-Time

A successful and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Graduate Academic Mentor from September 2025. This role is ideal for ambitious graduates who want to provide academic support while preparing for teacher training or other education pathways.

The Role – Graduate Academic Mentor:
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will support students aged 11–16 both in class and through small-group or 1:1 sessions. You will help pupils strengthen their subject knowledge, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed academically.

This Graduate Academic Mentor position is especially well-suited to graduates in English, Maths, Science, or Humanities, though strong graduates from any academic background will be considered.

• Full-time, long-term Graduate Academic Mentor role (Monday–Friday)

Ideal Candidate – Graduate Academic Mentor:

• Degree (2:1 or higher) in a core academic subject preferred
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Resilient, proactive, and committed to supporting young people
• Previous experience in tutoring, coaching, or mentoring is beneficial but not essential
• Must have UK work eligibility (unfortunately, no visa sponsorship available)
