Summary
What you’ll do:
• Drive the Sensory Services Officer and their Guide Dog to and from work locations and appointments.
• Guide the Sensory Services Officer around offices, streets and in clients’ homes.
• Assist with the care and exercise of the Sensory Services Officer’s Guide Dog.
• Assist the Sensory Services Officer with reading all work related correspondence.
• Write reports and complete computer tasks to dictation on behalf of the Sensory Services Officer.
What we’re looking for:
· Ability to guide the Sensory Services Officer and drive them and their Guide Dog to and from work and appointments.
· Ability to provide care for their Guide Dog.
· Good IT skills with MO365 experience (including Word, Outlook and Excel).
· Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
· Patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions.
· Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

This is a hybrid role, with one day per week based at our Winchester office and one and a half days working in the community. This includes time spent in Southampton, where you will provide assistance to the Sensory Service Officer working from their home.
Our Service operates 7 days a week, therefore you'll be required to work a shift
pattern, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis for
which enhancements are paid. This can be discussed further at interview as our Service may be undergoing a period of reorganisation in the coming months.
