We’re looking for a dynamic leader to head our Deployment team and ensure the effective delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient driving test services across the UK. You’ll play a key role in developing a high-performing team, allocating resources, and supporting national service targets. As part of the wider DVSA leadership group, you’ll collaborate across teams and partners to drive continuous improvement and meet future demands. Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Execute management responsibilities effectively and in line with DVSA policies and processes, planning and coordinating tasks and activities and taking responsibility for ensuring objectives are delivered
- Effectively allocate examiner staff to meet DVSA service level agreements in accordance with the Business Plan Targets
- Identify issues and make suggestions to improve business rules for examining staff
- Deal with issues escalated through your team regarding resourcing issues
- Contribute to the continual improvement of working practices as part of DVSA’s Business Excellence model
- Be receptive to and develop new ideas and initiatives ensuring key messages are cascaded to your team in a timely manner
