Summary
Braceborough Hall Care Home is situated in Braceborough, a delightful South Lincolnshire village approximately 6 miles from Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.
We opened our doors as a care home in 1985 and have been managed by the current owners since inception. An early Victorian house and we are situated in 2 acres of lawns and trees in a small village providing a calm and peaceful environment. The property has been extensively modernised in recent years but in a sympathetic way to ensure that it retains its original character.
The overriding aim of the home has always been to provide the highest level of personal care to its clients paying careful attention to their personal needs. We are registered for 25 residents and whilst there has been the temptation to extend the home to cater for additional numbers, this has been resisted on the basis that we wish to retain the home from home feeling and also because such a move could impact negatively on the standard of care provided. We believe that this makes us more attractive compared with some of the larger homes.

-Respond promptly and sensitively to call bells, assessing needs and providing appropriate support (incl. contacting emergency help (111 or 999 in emergency situations) when needed).
-Offer emotional reassurance, companionship, and practical assistance to residents who may be wakeful, anxious, or in need of comfort.
-Assist residents with bedtime routines, and support early rising when required for appointments or personal preferences.
-Remain alert to signs of distress, discomfort, or safeguarding concerns, and report any issues in line with policy.
-Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity and privacy of all residents at all times.
-Provide a clear and accurate handover to the incoming day team, ensuring continuity of care and awareness of overnight developments.
Safety & Infection Control
-Carry out routine safety checks throughout the building, with particular attention to fire safety and hazard prevention.
-Adhere to infection control protocols, including the correct use of PPE and hygiene solutions. Challenge and report any breaches in practice.
-Be aware of the causes and signs of abuse, and follow safeguarding procedures where concerns arise.
-Report all incidents, accidents, or observations using the appropriate documentation in line with legal and regulatory standards.
-Observe Health and Safety regulations and report any risks or concerns to the Manager or designated person in charge.
-Domestic Duties (Essential Requirement)
-During quieter periods of the night, complete designated housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. These include:
*Laundry and ironing
*Cleaning and dusting
*Vacuuming communal areas
*Deep cleaning
*Basic food preparation for the following day
Domestic duties are a required and integral part of the role and must be completed to the expected standard.
