Summary
A personal assistant is required to support a happy and lively 7-year-old boy living in Launceston.
He has Autism level 3, Epilepsy and Global Development delay and would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his communication. He loves being outdoors and going for walks and to the park to play. He enjoys swimming and soft play.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community and with his family.
Up to 3 hours per week are available, and this is flexible. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential. A full driving licence is desirable.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow, gain independence, and make a meaningful difference in their life.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
