Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, our prestigious private estate is known for its stunning landscapes, luxurious residences, and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and professional House Manager to oversee the seamless operation of our main residence and ensure an exceptional experience for guests, and staff.
Role Overview
As House Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the estate’s main residence, ensuring the highest standards of service, maintenance, and hospitality. You will work in a small team, coordinate with external vendors, and ensure the estate operates smoothly while maintaining its elegance and charm. This role requires discretion, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to Day Management: Oversee all aspects of the residence, including cleaning, maintenance, and presentation to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment.
Guest Experience: Coordinate guest visits, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction, including arranging transport, catering, and entertainment as needed.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external contractors (e.g., maintenance, catering, security) to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Event Planning: Assist in organizing private events, dinners, or gatherings hosted at the estate, ensuring flawless execution.
Security and Safety: Ensure the residence is secure and that all safety protocols are followed, including emergency preparedness.
Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of household supplies, equipment, and furnishings, arranging replacements or repairs as needed.
Requirements
-Proven experience as a Hotel Duty Manager or similar role in a private residence or luxury hospitality setting.
-Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
-Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Knowledge of household maintenance, fine dining, and event planning.
-Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
-Proficiency in budget management and basic financial reporting.
-Valid UK driving license and willingness to live on or near the estate (accommodation may be provided).
Desirable Skills
-Experience working in the Cotswolds or similar rural estates.
-Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and etiquette.
-Familiarity with smart home systems and technology.
-First aid certification or basic knowledge of emergency procedures.
