Job Title: Storeman (Inventory & Paint Products)
Location: Barrow- In- Furness
Pay: £16/hr (Basic) | £20/hr (OT1) | £28/hr (OT2) – Umbrella
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Storeman to join our team. The role involves managing and maintaining stock of consumables and paint products, ensuring efficient stock withdrawal, accurate inventory records, and adherence to health and safety standards. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates.
Responsibilities
Withdraw and issue consumables and paint products to staff and contractors.
Monitor and maintain stock levels, reporting discrepancies and assisting with reordering.
Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and physical counts.
Update the inventory management system with stock movements.
Provide efficient and accurate support to operational teams.
Maintain warehouse organisation and cleanliness.
Handle hazardous materials safely and follow all workplace health and safety protocols.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse, storekeeping, or stock control role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work safely and follow company procedures.
Professional, reliable, and proactive approach.
Hours & Pay
Basic Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
Overtime Rates:
OT1: £20/hr (after basic hours and first 4 hrs Saturday)
OT2: £28/hr (Saturday after 4 hrs and all day Sunday)
