The Role:
As an EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children aged 3–5 as they begin their school journey. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll deliver small group activities focused on early phonics, number work, and communication skills. You’ll also help create a calm, structured environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence.
The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine interest in early childhood education. Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience working with young children—whether in a nursery, school, or volunteer setting—will be an advantage.
Requirements
- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – A strong interest in EYFS and early child development.
- Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as nursery work, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
