Summary
Clinical Responsibilities: to include level of responsibility for: The provision of a high quality Blood Transfusion service to all users within the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, Medway NHS Foundation Trust and PCT. Ensuring a continuous 24/7 Blood Transfusion service at both the Darent Valley and Medway Maritime Hospitals Ensuring that all members of staff and visitors follow departmental policies and procedures Provide advice to users of the service as required within sphere of knowledge Provide appropriate and relevant advice on Blood Transfusion matters when required. The audit of standards of service and the implementation of corrective measures for those findings. Overseeing and preparing Standard Operating Procedures to meet UKAS accreditation requirements, MHRA requirements and to meet BSH guidelines; reviewing these on a regular basis to maintain standards.
