Summary

Housing & Neighbourhood Services Officer

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Housing & Neighbourhood Services Officer to join Ark on a temporary 6 months fixed-term contract. The purpose of this post is to provide high quality, customer focused housing and estate management services across our North area neighbourhoods - covering Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen and Moray.


You will be responsible for delivering a range of housing and neighbourhood services including:

The end-to-end void process, which includes carrying out a pre inspection before a tenant moves out and working closely with Arks voids contractor to ensure properties meet Arks lettable standard and re-let within target times.
Tenancy management, which includes conducting new tenancy and settling in visits, responding to requests to succeed to, terminating tenancies, dealing with suspected abandonments anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes, income management, all in accordance with our policies and timescales.

Neighbourhood management, ensuring a high quality, safe and secure environment for our customers.

Tenant Participation and engagement.

Overseeing property repairs.

The Housing & Neighbourhood Services Officer reports directly to the Neighbourhood & Partnership Manager in Aberdeen.

If you have:

A Chartered Member of Institute of Housing, Minimum Level 3 CIH Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent proven track record in Housing.

A fundamental understanding of the impact of changes in Housing legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.

Knowledge of the Regulatory Framework in which Ark operates.

Experience of using Housing IT software.

Access to a car and driving license.
