Summary

Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Location: Armley, Leeds
Hours: 39.37 hours per week
Salary: £28,354.27 / £13.85 per hour + £15.35 overtime + On-Call paid £35 pw
Shift Pattern: 7:30am – 8:00pm, two-week rolling rota

Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun

Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri

P4 Recruitment are working with a client who is looking for a compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join their brand-new residential service in Armley, Leeds. This service provides a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares a strong commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality care while supporting and guiding colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence

Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices

Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management

Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is prioritised

Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals

Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with policies and legal requirements

Requirements

Experience working with individuals with mental health needs

Strong understanding of care plans and risk assessments

Excellent communication and leadership skills

A commitment to promoting recovery and social inclusion
