Sherwood House is a registered care home providing 24/7 person-centred care to 19 elderly residents. Nestled in the award-winning village of Linby, just outside Hucknall, it offers a tranquil environment surrounded by greenery and local charm.

‍ Your Role as a Bank Cook

As our Cook, you’ll lead the day-to-day catering operations, ensuring residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals tailored to their preferences and dietary needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and preparing meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs.
Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.
Managing stock, food orders, and kitchen equipment.
Supporting kitchen assistants and volunteers.
Cooking for special occasions and cultural celebrations.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience in hospitality or catering.
Can prepare meals for large groups.
Are organised, reliable, and customer-focused.
Understand the importance of nutrition for older adults.
Can work flexibly and maintain high hygiene standards.
Getting to Linby

Due to limited public transport, a driving licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable. Sherwood House is a 7-minute drive from Hucknall High Street or a 20-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
