Crynodeb

As a Personal Assistant how would you like to support a fun loving 53-year-old male with learning disabilities, non-verbal and has no capacity, but a guy who loves to live his life to the full.

Meet Kevin – I am a happy, relaxed, passive young man completely non-aggressive who enjoys music, concerts, events and socialising with others in the community. I enjoy my food, so lunch, afternoon coffee and cake are great for me.
Some days you’ll find yourself taking me swimming, while on others, you could be helping me explore Art Galleries, GOMA, (both in Glasgow) mainly for the food and social interaction and trips to the Science Centre. Evening activities would include Cinema, Theatres and Concerts. I’m also happy for you to suggest new activities we can explore together.

You’ll support me with all personal care, including eating and drinking, support with wheelchair, and walker. You would be responsible for administering medication as required and I will be totally dependent on my PA for my security, health and safety.
Kevin would love to work with someone who is outgoing, friendly, compassionate, patient and honest who shares their passion for music and concerts and “people watching”.

Kevin lives in Cambuslang, so it’s important you’re comfortable working in this area.
We are looking to employ two PA’s 10 hours per week @ £14.00 per hour.

Days and times are flexible, however this can be dependent on activities chosen especially if an evening event is to be attended.

While experience with learning disabilities is helpful, a reliable and trustworthy person is most important.

A driving licence is required as you will drive my automatic mobility vehicle and must be over 25 years of age for mobility insurance.

If you think you’d be a great fit for Kevin, we’d love to hear from you!
