Neway International is seeking a Fire Risk Assessment Carpenter to join our client based with Camden Council
Location: Holmes Road Depot.
Contract Type: Agency Worker
Start Date: 15 September 2025
End Date: Initially for a 3 month contract that is likely to be extended.
Hours: 36 per week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00)
Pay Rate: £21.05 PAYE / £27.45 Umbrella
About the Role
Camden Council is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious FRA Carpenter to support a short-term project addressing fire safety upgrades across council properties. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade fire doors, repair frames, and fit electrical enclosures
- Carry out fire stopping works and install fire-rated plasterboard
- Ensure all work meets British Standards and fire safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records and minor admin tasks
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
✅ What You’ll Need
- Proven experience working with fire doors and fire safety components
- Full UK driving licence (a van will be provided)
- Strong understanding of fire stopping techniques and compliance
- Innovative mindset with a commitment to quality management
- Good record-keeping skills and professional communication
