Summary
Senior Bookkeeper - £13-16 per hour – Barnsley - Permanent role office based
Our client is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join a small family firm. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience, particularly with Xero and/or Sage and submitting VAT returns, wages preparation , monthly accounts and all returns preparation. Growing local business approaching £1.5million turnover.
Ideal Candidate:
-Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant, with a strong understanding of general accountancy practices
-Proficient in Xero or Sage and experienced in managing VAT returns, wages preparation
-Experienced in monthly accounts preparation and delivery to MD
-Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Commitment to high standards of accuracy and quality in bookkeeping tasks
Key Responsibilities:
-Preparation of monthly management accounts
-Collate and prepare VAT returns in a timely manner
-Manage day-to-day bookkeeping transactions
-Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
-Assist with financial reporting and data analysis
-Support in the preparation of year-end accounts and audit
