Summary
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Hotel Duty Manager to join our team at our hotel in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide exceptional guest services.
Pay & Reward:
Hours: 45 hours per week, according to a 5 days on, 3 days off rota
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £29,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure guest satisfaction
Manage and lead a team of staff members, providing guidance and support
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth functioning of the hotel
Implement and maintain high standards of service quality and cleanliness
Monitor and manage room reservations and bookings
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist with human resources duties such as staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Experience:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is essential
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication skills in English and at least one other language
Knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and front office procedures
Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
Proven track record in delivering high-quality customer service
