Long Term Futures are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school based in the NG9 area of Nottingham. This successful school, which supports students aged 11-18, is recognised for its focus on academic progress, strong pastoral care and inclusive values.
Your Role Will Include:

Supporting students on a 1-1 basis and in small groups, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)

Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to adapt lesson resources and learning activities

Building positive working relationships with students to increase confidence and participation in learning

Helping maintain a calm, respectful and engaging classroom atmosphere

Encouraging students to remain focused and supporting them with positive behaviour strategies

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has at least 6 months or more of experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
Has at least 6 months or more of experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant

Feels confident supporting students with additional learning needs or behavioural requirements
Feels confident supporting students with additional learning needs or behavioural requirements

Is a strong communicator and enjoys working as part of a school team
Is a strong communicator and enjoys working as part of a school team

Holds a current DBS (or is willing to apply) and can provide two suitable professional references
Holds a current DBS (or is willing to apply) and can provide two suitable professional references
