Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an exceptional and driven professional who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented administration team working to drive student attendance. As the Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing pupil attendance and leading on the school attendance policy. You will be the first point of contact (face to face, online or via the telephone) for pupils, parents and visitors to the school and therefore must have excellent communication skills and be confident in speaking to a diverse range of people. You will also be liaising directly with the local authority regarding pupil admissions and responsible for managing the shared email inboxes so your written communication skills must also be first-rate. You will be proactive and able to cope in a busy, pressured environment. Sensitivity and discretion are essential in this role. A good sense of humour is a must!

The ideal candidate will have had office experience, ideally in a school setting. Knowledge of a school MIS system will be a huge advantage but training will be provided if you have not used a similar system.
