Summary

AA Euro Group are currently seeing an experienced H&S Advisor to join a principal contractor delivering large scale construction projects across London and the surrounding areas. Projects span multiple high-profile sectors including pharmaceutical, data centres, power & energy, and more. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing expert guidance to project teams on health and safety matters. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment and has experience across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health & safety policies, procedures, and systems across projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to site teams, contractors, and subcontractors on health & safety issues.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and briefings to site teams on key health & safety topics.
• Monitor and report on health & safety performance using relevant KPIs and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Keep up to date with changes in legislation, codes of practice, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent professional health & safety qualification.
• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or Officer within the construction industry, ideally with exposure to sectors such as pharmaceutical, data centres, power & energy.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections across multi-million-pound projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage site teams.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and travel across London and surrounding areas as required.
