As an Engineering Lead, you'll drive the success of our engineering teams, ensuring they have everything they need to thrive. You'll lead both day-to-day operations and long-term change initiatives, ensuring everything runs efficiently while constantly improving. You'll also make sure technology is at the heart of decision-making. Your deep technical background will be crucial in guiding the team and making strategic calls on risk, resilience, and cost management.

What you'll do

  • Inspire and guide engineering teams, empowering them to design, build, test, and deploy modular, cloud-native applications and APIs.

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Quality Engineers, and executive stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic goals.

  • Drive architectural decisions and technical governance, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

  • Integrate seamlessly with internal systems and third-party APIs, delivering smooth and intuitive user experiences.

  • Shape engineering strategy and innovation, influencing the future direction of our platforms, practices, and ways of working.

  • Mentor and develop talent, cultivating an inclusive environment where engineers can grow, thrive, and do their best work.

What you'll need

  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of dedicated engineers, cultivating a collaborative and inclusive environment.

  • Hands on Software Engineering background with experience successfully delivering large-scale applications using a broad set of tools, techniques, and platforms, including public cloud technologies.

  • Experience working with Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices.

  • Knowledge of container environments in particular OpenShift, Service Mesh, and Helm.

It would be great if you also had

· Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

· Awareness of security considerations and security tools.

· Some experience in operations and support, ideally following SRE principles.
