Summary
CBT Therapist with Specialist interest in LTC
Band 7 full time or part time (3 days minimum with 1 evening a week working 12pm-8pm)
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a passionate CBT therapist with a special interest in Long Term Health Conditions (LTCs). You would work as a clinical specialist working with residents who present with different types of anxiety disorders and/or depression with/without LTCs.
Your passion/expertise would help improve our outcomes for our clients by ensuring staff are up to date with current best practice when working with LTCs, provide workshops and groups to people with LTCs.
You would also hold a small caseload of face-to-face clients and offer the majority of your clinical work via video and telephone. Currently our staff are attending our clinical buildings one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed in line with our clinical demands.
· We welcome therapists who are looking to develop their expertise working with and as part of this role we will offer the opportunity to begin LTC training within the first year of employment and CPD.
· Our service runs Monday to Friday (8am to 8pm) and we would ask you to work one evening week.
The post holder will be part of a very dynamic team and will work alongside PWPs as well as therapists trained in a range of therapies including systemic and couple therapies, LTC, EMDR, CBT psychodynamic and integrative therapies. We also have a dedicated team working with physical health related problems and long term conditions; this offers those who work with our team plenty of opportunities to enhance their job satisfaction by learning more about this area and developing skills in working with this population.
The post holder will predominately work with individuals with clients a range of complex anxiety disorders and depression related problems at step 3 for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. Also, the post holder will take a small number of LTC cases and will be provided training and supervision related to this specialistdevelopment area. The post holder will carry out telephone, video and face to face assessments as part of their case load. We would also expect the post holder to run a therapy group and potentially run community workshops as needed. The post holder will assist the service to reach our clinical recovery outcomes by ensuring our clinical resources are up to date and effective.
