To be responsible for leading a team and managing a unit within the radiotherapy department. To manage staff and patients and carry out complex technical radiotherapeutic procedures in the treatment and CT scanning areas of the department ensuring a safe, accurate and efficient radiotherapy service is maintained. To rotate on all the units in the department so that competency is maintained and to participate in the provision of extended cover. To act as first line expert in technical and managerial areas within radiotherapy. The post holder must be qualified to practice as an operator within Radiotherapy as defined by IR(ME)R.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced therapeutic radiographer to join the Radiotherapy department at the Royal Free London as a band 7 Radiographer on a part time basis (30 hours, 4 days / week). We are looking for a candidate with excellent team leadership and communication skills who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the treatment units ensuring delivery of a high level of service and patient care.
Successful applicants will be highly motivated and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patients are at the heart of what we do so we are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who can provide excellent care with compassion and respect. All Radiographers in bands 5 – 7 roles have the opportunity to rotate through pre-treatment and treatment. Successful candidates will be role models for demonstrating our Trust’s values through their behaviours, will be able to work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary team and will be committed to providing high quality patient care.
