An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Clinical Effectiveness Team as a Band 5 Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator (Clinical Documents, NICE Guidelines and Mortality).
The Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator will assist the Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator in the implementation, promotion, delivery, and monitoring of the clinical effectiveness portfolio including clinical guidelines, NICE guidelines, and mortality review across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Based at the University Hospital in Coventry, you will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre having proven experience of using Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. The post holder will be responsible for critically reviewing and analysing mortality data to support healthcare professionals to interpret mortality statistics, themes and trends.
Excellent written and communication skills are required in this role. The successful person will be liaising and negotiating with healthcare professionals at all levels, to develop clinical documents. You will be required to advise and facilitate healthcare professionals in the implementation of NICE guidance. Therefore, a flexible working pattern is needed to coincide with the accessibility of healthcare professionals.
Having an eye for detail you will ensure that the structure, content and format of clinical documents adheres to relevant Trust policy. You will also conduct editorial and governance checks.
We are looking for candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills, dedication and the ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy. An understanding of the NHS is desirable, and you will need to show past experience of working with data. You will need to be highly organised, to successfully manage your workload in this busy and dynamic environment.

• Providing support and education to healthcare professionals and other relevant members of staff in the interpretation and presentation of mortality data.
• Supporting the development of reports and action plans, providing information and ongoing monitoring of performance pertaining to clinical effectiveness activities, and disseminate and communicate findings to healthcare professionals, committees and other relevant members of staff as required.

• Facilitating the implementation of NICE clinical guidance within the Trust, providing advice and support to healthcare professionals in ensuring the completion of baseline assessments and subsequent action plans to promote timely implementation of guidance as appropriate.
• Ensuring the delivery and ongoing promotion and development of training for healthcare professionals on areas within the clinical effectiveness portfolio.
• Assisting in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for your area of expertise.
